CLOVER POLICY REGARDING PERMIT
APPLICATIONS

This document describes the types of work
that require a permit.

This document is the permit application.

Permits may
be granted by the Building Official only after verification of
the appropriate State license.

Construction
Permits may be granted only to:

Residential Builders
-
General
Contractors
-
Residential Specialty Contractors or Commercial Mechanical/Specialty Contractors only when the total job involves systems for
which they themselves are licensed. An example is
replacement of an HVAC system, only.

Property
Owners (only if granted a waiver to do their own work)

Remodeling
work or additions involve multiple trades and usually involves
sub-contracting and therefore a permit shall not be issued to a
Specialty Contractor for remodeling work or additions.

All work
meeting the definition of a
specialty contracting shall be performed by direct employees of the Residential
Builder or General Contractor or by licensed Specialty
Contractors.
