Trash
Service ...
- Trash is collected daily by the
Streets and Sanitation Department. Garbage containers must be out
by 7 a.m. on weekdays.
- All waste must be placed in
rollout containers; to be picked up. We cannot pick up batteries,
tires or any white goods such as stoves, refrigerators, washing
machines, dryers, air conditioners or hot water heaters. Please
do not place yard waste in your household garbage containers, they
will not be picked up.

Yard
Debris ...
- The Town of Clover will pick up
non-commercial yard debris such as tree limbs, leaves, grass
clippings and hedge clippings. Grass and hedge clippings are
required to be placed in 30-50 gallon trash bags and placed by the
curb.

specifications related to how these items can be placed on the
curb.
- The Town of Clover asks that
residents complete all burning by 3 p.m. Please call 803.222.9495
with a name, location and phone number before starting to burn.
All residents must call the county for a burning permit at
1.800.517.9644.
Recycling ...
- The Town offers a recycle bin
for your convenience. We encourage residents to recycle the
following items: newspapers, plastic bottles (no caps), milk jugs,
glass (no lids), and aluminum cans. Recycle bins need to be placed
five feet away from the rollout container.
- The convenience centers off
Hwy. 55 East on Parham Road, Bethel School Road, and left off Hwy.
161 from McGill's Crossroads will accept the following items:
glass, plastic, aluminum cans, auto batteries, newspaper, scrap
metals, waste oil, shingles, old appliances, and brown paper bags.

Utilities ...
- Water bills are due by the 15th
of every month. A 10 percent penalty is added to all bills not paid by
the due date. Failure to receive a bill does not excuse service
disconnection. We are not responsible for mail delivery.
- Bills unpaid by the 20th of the
month are subject to disconnection, and a reconnection fee plus
all arrears must be paid before service will be reconnected.
- If service is connected prior
to payment, an additional $50 will be due before reconnection.
- Water bills must be paid at Town
Hall, 114 Bethel St., (803) 222.9495.
Building Permits ...
- Any type of construction,
electrical, gas or plumbing requests should be addressed to the Code
Enforcement Officer at (803) 222.5158.
Business License ...
- Anyone doing doing any type of
business inside the town limits is required to get a business
license. If you have any questions, please call the town clerk at
(803) 222.9495.
Yard
Sales ...
- A fee is required for any type
of yard sale inside the town limits of Clover. Contact Town Hall
at (803) 222.9495 for more information.
Animal
Control and Registration ...
- All dogs must be registered
annually. The fee is $4.00 per dog and can be paid at Town Hall.
Please call York County at (803) 628.3190 for strays or other animal
control issues.
